ABOUT COLLEEN JONES

I am a technical writer by day, which pays the bills but does not satisfy the soul. I write stories for kids but especially for the kid in me. I emigrated from Canada to Ireland and have lived in Cork since 2009.
I am the Regional Advisor for SCBWI Ireland. We are a small but active chapter with free social events in several locations in Ireland and Northern Ireland. We currently have an online critique group, which “meets” monthly from September to June, and we run the occasional webinar.
ARTIST STATEMENT
I’m working on a funny urban fantasy series for younger Middle Grade about the friendship between a dragon and her human best friend.
